bso Verband Büro-, Sitz- und Objektmöbel

The bso "Verband Büro-, Sitz- und Objektmöbel" is representing the general, professional and economic interests of its member companies on a national and international basis.

The German office furniture manufacturers contribute to the change of office work with their experience and know-how. Therefore the bso is supporting them with market investigations, analyses and by rising statistical data. Further on, the corporate marketing and public relations, as well as the informal exchange of ideas and opinions amongst the members plays a major role.

The corporate activities of the members become tangible, amongst other things, in the world wide biggest trade fair, the orgatec, which its goodwill responsible and sponsor is the bso.

On the initiative of the association, the data standard OFML and the software applications to furnish offices have been developed. At inquiries towards standardization in Germany (DIN), Europe (CEN) and world wide (ISO), the bso is represented in the respective committees and involved in all the important industry-related decisions.  

buero-forum

The buero-forum is the corporate and communicating institution of the German office furniture industry. Its principal task is to espouse and ensure the optimal furnishing of office work stations. The main activities of buero-forum are:

• Public and media relations
  Key aspects are industry-related business announcements and information towards the importance and value of well furnished offices. The press releases of the bso can be found online under press portal.
  
  
• Corporate promotion
  The buero-forum is, for example, responsible for the promotion of the quality certificate QUALITY OFFICE.
  
  
• Professional articles
  Since years the buero-forum is publishing brochures, which do inform about important aspects of the design and furnishing of offices. The professional articles can be downloaded or ordered as printed versions.
  
  
• YourOfficeLetter
  The newsletter, containing information from the professional world of office design and furnishing, can be subscribed for free. Furthermore you will find earlier releases of YourOfficeLetter in the YOL-archive.
  
  
• Internet
  The centralized communication medium of the bso is this internet presence. It is the comprehensive information portal, concerning all issues around the arrangement of offices.
