
Knowledge work
Knowledge management has become a key factor in corporate success. Whereas production processes can be analyzed and optimized in detail, the knowledge management evades this direct measure and control. Often the result is literally a fatalistically handling of knowledge and knowledge workers. In time-robbing selection processes searched and found and attracted with monetary benefits – new employees are very often left alone within an unsatisfactory working environment. Furthermore long term employees, who have precious and practical knowledge, suffer even more. Their contribution to knowledge management is very often not even recognized.
Under the keyword characteristics a content-related and conceptional differentiation of the topic knowledge work to other forms of office work can be found.
Within the topics creativity and learning two key success factors of knowledge work are examined. Under the keyword knowledge workplaces chosen hints and suggestions for designing knowledge workplaces are presented.
