Processes

The basic processes are the creation of data by manufacturers of office furniture, the distribution of data, the processing of data at the user and the refeeding of data.

Creation of data

When creating OFML data then usually two kinds of basis data are used: commercial information from the ERP-system as well as 2D-and 3D-symbols from the CAD-system. Additional data, e.g. rule types or image information for the catalogue are specially created and maintained for OFML.

The processes of data creation are supported by creation-, conversion- and matching-applications.

Distribution of data

The distribution of data takes place via the internet or alternatively via the OfficeData-CD ROM.

Specific information to the availability of data will be provided by themanufacturer of OFML-data manufacturer of OFML-data.

Processing of data

Core processes of data-processing are

• the planning of interior designs and
• the handling of article lists – e.g. for the preparation of tenders and orders.
  

For every field of application are different and customized applications available.

Refeeding of data

With the development of the OEX-standards the basis for the interaction between the ERP of the authorized dealers and the PPT-system of the manufacturers was created. That established the requirements for the direct processing of electronic order data of the dealer at the manufacturer.

Information to the availability of the system can be requested by dealers from the manufacturers of office furniture.
