What is OFML?
Already ten years ago, the development of the Office Furniture Modelling Language (OFML) ensured the EDP-technical basis for manufacturer-wide interior design. Next to 2D- and 3D-views, OFML-data contain configuration-relevant information, describing product texts and commercial information for tender preparation and enterprise resource planning.

Strengths
The strenghts of OFML are the comprehensive applications and the area-wide distribution within the office interior design industry.
Almost every supplier of office furniture in the German-speaking area provides OFML data of their products. The range of OFML product data from other countries is growing constantly.
Strategy
Via OFML a standard was established, which is considering planning- and product-logics stronger as hiherto. Complex plannings are independently possible without AutoCad®. The conceptual design of OFML as an open standard is the basis for an ongoing development of the data standard and the fields of application of OFML data.
The OFML-data-standard was developed on the behalf of the bso “Verband Büro-, Sitz- und Objektmöbel e. V.“ (Association of Office, Seating and Object furniture), but is available to every company, which is not organized within the association as well as to other industries.
