OFML
OFML – Office Furniture Modeling Language
OFML was developed on the behalf of the „bso - Verband Büro-, Sitz- und Objektmöbel e.V.“ (Association of Office, Seating and Object furniture), but is freely available for other industries. The data standard is used for a summarized description of all aspects of a product, which shall be processed within a planning and configuration system:
- Planning logics
- Graphical / geometrical data
- Commercial data (prices, article texts)
- Configuration-relevant data (properties, property values and its dependencies)
OFML therefore allows for the import of geometrical data from external CAD systems and contains a product management, which supports the integration of product data (commercial and configuration-relevant data) from external data bases.
Details to this data format can be found under specifications/a>.

OCD
OCD – OFML Commercial Data
OCD is an advancement and integral part of the OFML data standard. OCD is generally used for the creation of product data, which are needed and traded in commercial processes of the furniture industry. Via OCD the following issues shall be handled and covered primarily:
- Configuration of complex articles
- Price finding
- Supply of information for tender and order forms
- Support for statistics and delivery control
OCD is a functional equivalent and further development of the proprietary electronic price list and its format(s).
Details to this data format can be found under specifications.

ODB
ODB – OFML Database (database for graphical data)
Via ODB the geometrical properties and in some degree the logical dependencies of planning objects can be described. The aim of ODB is a specification form, which can be written, read and checked for consistency with minimal effort in terms of programming.
Components of ODB are
- Geometry tables, separately for 3D and 2D
- Tables for insertion points
- Operation tables.

OEX
OEX – OFML Business Data Exchange
OEX is an XML-based format to describe order data. OEX contains the OEX-GLOBAL-document, orders (OEX-ORDERS), order conformations (OEX-ORDRSP) and order modifications (OEX-ORDCHG).
Details to this data format can be found under specifications
